Hello! Thanks for visitingIf you're here, then it's likely you already know there’s a mindbody connection to your persistent pain, but you’re not sure what you need to do to recover.
I was the same way! I knew stress was related to my pain and other symptoms. But I wasn't clear what do about it... |

my story |
Over the years, I suffered from everything from back pain, foot pain, food sensitivities, migraines, and eventually a shoulder so frozen and painful I could hardly move or sleep. Fortunately, I learned that in all these cases, my brain was in a kind of "danger" feedback loop, and the result was mindbody (neuroplastic) pain. I learned about the science of pain and neuroplasticity and the ways stress and emotional factors predispose us to mindbody pain. And so I moved beyond managing my pain to unlearning it.
But after struggling alone with my own chronic pain recovery, I knew there had to be a more supported way to go through the necessary emotional work and apply the latest pain science discoveries. As a theatre director, I had always embraced the advice my first directing professor gave me years ago: Find the pockets of confusion and help actors find their way out. I realized then (and it's still true) that this is what I'm called to do – whether in rehearsal back then or now with my coaching clients and students. So now I’m committed to helping people find their way out of chronic pain through private mindbody coaching, groups, and classes. Sure, pain is a part of life. We wouldn’t last very long without the protective signals that acute pain provides! But chronic mindbody pain is different and can make us feel like we’re trapped in a place of fear and hopelessness. I believe that, like me, you can move beyond chronic pain…to live a more embodied, creative, mindful, and truly vibrant life. |
Let's stay in touch! My great joy is to help others grow in embodied self-awareness, with greater ease and creativity. I look forward to connecting!
