week 3
Curiosity

Being genuinely open about why other parts or other people are reacting as they do, instead of becoming upset with them. An absence of agenda to change another person’s (or part’s) behavior, wanting instead to genuinely understand it.

Optional Pain Science Review
Somatic Tracking is a technique used in Pain Reprocessing Therapy. It is essentially bringing the Self-energy of curiosity to your symptoms.

CURIOSITY
  • Notice when you sense the wonder and open-hearted interest of Curiosity.
  • If you have thoughts/feelings/behaviors that are upsetting to other parts, what are some ways you can get Curious about both the "acting out" and the judgmental part?
  • If symptoms arise, use a phrase like "Huh - Isn't that interesting!" without agenda.

The Room
  • Use The Room exercise for unblending if you are feeling triggered by someone/thing.
