Recovery from chronic pain and other mindbody symptoms is a journey of resiliency. The key is learning to access the healing essence of Self energy.
Using a unique combination of Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Feldenkrais Method®, and Mindfulness / Expressive practices, this course will empower you to:

· Practice compassionate, mindful self-reflection
· Generate "felt" safety through somatic awareness

YOUR RESILIENT SELF Course Info
Using the framework of Internal Family Systems, each session will focus on one of the eight facets of Self Energy (the 8 C's of IFS). By exploring evocative illustrations of each facet of Self, students can cultivate resiliency and enhance their process of inner healing.
Class sessions include instruction, group discussion, guided visualization, and expressive exercises. Sessions will also include a gentle somatic practice drawn from the Feldenkrais Method®. Learning materials for the class are available on the course webpage after registration and include curated audio/video pain science information, Internal Family Systems resources, Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® Lessons, and creative responses to the 8 C's.
NOTE: This course is for those who already understand that their symptoms are a mindbody (psychophysiologic) condition and are looking for support and additional self-reflective tools to advance their recovery. Students should understand the basics of current mindbody pain science and have already ruled out any serious physical conditions or life-threatening illness with their medical providers.
IMPORTANT: This course provides information for your own self-reflection and is not a substitute for mental health counseling. If you are facing mental health challenges, please seek support from a therapist.
SELF-CARE: While I take care to create a safe and supportive class atmosphere, any self-reflective work can bring up emotions and/or concerns for participants that may not always feel comfortable. By registering for this course, students take responsibility for attending to their own nervous system and providing whatever self-soothing and self-care practices are needed.
