This course takes its title from a book by Moshe Feldenkrais, The Potent Self: A Study of Spontaneity and Compulsion. The subtitle might be translated as "looking at the contrast between the harmony, ease, and - yes - potency of being Self led vs. the distress and difficulty we experience when blended with parts in extreme roles and caught in unexamined conditioned responses."
The word potent also starts with a "P" so, there's that ;-) In this course we will focus each week on one of the IFS 5 P's. Using these P's as our guide, we will continue our journey into the wonderful ways to befriend our parts in our recovery from mindbody symptoms.
Interested students who have not taken Part I: Your Resilient Self but who have a solid background in IFS can contact me to see if this class is right for them.
